Tuition Builds On Previous Teaching
My guitar lessons can teach you more in a year than youve learned on your own in a lifetime! My private guitar courses offer you
the instructional tuition of a seasoned pro guitar player that
will thoroughly explain every detail and play each note with
you measure by measure in a variety of tempos, techniques and different musical idioms.
You get backing tracks to jam over in my sessions too, as this is now the accepted normal way of improving your skills at home.
John Mizarolli was one of the first guys in the Uk to give out backing tracks for popular blues and rock songs. He started the trend, which many now use, in 1978. You will be getting a true cult guitar legend all to yourself teaching you.
It is a great way to improve your playing skill and musical
knowledge.
You can learn a song on your guitar and all youll know is that song. But if you learn music theory and improve your skill, youll be able to teach yourself and write all the songs you want to know. Good guitar tuition should strive to teach you theory. Guitar courses that build on previous teaching but reach your desired sound.
We have other ideas too that can help you learn faster but really its going to some take time. There are no magic shortcuts, Ive searched for them. Anybody who advertises them is pulling your leg! Pro sessions are the only way to systematically improve your skill and you can not beat the personal level of service gained from having your own tutor. Plus, it is fun and rewarding when your practise produces results.
Good tuition should always build on top of previous learning. The goal is to play, understand and enjoy your guitar and the music it makes. If the student has learned to understand the music that's in front of him, has seen where it should be played on his instrument, has heard what it should sound like and has developed the technical skill to perform it, there is no stopping him. These are the tools we provide for you. The goal as I was told by Ginger Baker is to let the music play you!
